Probe stations allow user to position electrical, optical or RF probes onto a DUT to get a graphical representation of the response of that DUT with the help of an external stimulus in the form of electrical, optical or RF. The response curve helps user to check on the continuity or isolation, or even more sophisticated ones that involve full functional tests of a complex microcircuits.
